About Trade Verdict
Trade Verdict lists the tradies who are not part of a chain, by the jobs their own websites name: a plumber under hot water systems, an electrician under switchboard upgrades, a roofer under gutter replacement.
Only businesses whose name and website appear in no more than two places in Australia are listed, so chains and franchises are left out; being part of a chain says nothing about quality. A business is listed under a job only when its own website names that service, and under a place only when Google Maps shows it there. Lists are refreshed on the first of each month.
Trade Verdict ranks independent Australian tradies for each job they take on, by Google rating adjusted for how many reviews stand behind it, with chains and franchises left out.
Trade Verdict is run by the Trade Verdict team and has been publishing since October 2026. It lists 10,693 businesses in 2,248 lists, with figures as of October 2026.
Ratings, review counts and opening hours come from Google Business Profiles. The year a business started, and the jobs it does, come from its own website.
